Salsicce e Patate

This is not really a recipe but rather a “I’ll just chuck everything in the oven” kind of situation. Even so, I guarantee you it’s one of the best comfort food combos out there.

It’s the perfect choice when you are feeling a bit down and the weather is cold.

It makes me think of sitting at home with my family in front of the fireplace. There is no particular reason for this association, but this is how good this will make you feel.

This is my kind of recipe. You can take your time, put it in the oven and forget about it. I love that there is no need to rush between steps. I am a bit puzzled though about which is the ingredient to keep an eye on and that will tell me when to take the tray out of the oven.

In this case it’s the sausages and I would say that most of the times the meat will dictate cooking times. You can always have a staggered approach and put things in the oven at different times which will help you achieve the best results.

Tips & cheats (what can go wrong and how to fix it)

  • Do not pierce the sausages before you cook them. It will dry them!

  • If your oven is not the most reliable, make sure you rotate your tray while cooking so the sausages will end up having an even colour

This is satisfying…house smells amazing. It’s too easy to be true!
